How to set up click and collect with Shopify

Click & Collect is a popular choice that manages to be both cost effective for the retailer and convenient for many shoppers. It's available on all Shopify plans too, and as a free service there's no reason not to offer it if you have a physical presence.

Customers enjoy the convenience of being able to 'secure' their stock by purchasing online, and then collecting from a location whilst out and about, without having to wait for delivery or pay for delivery costs. For the seller, click & collect allows bricks and mortar locations to keep selling online right from their stores. Click and collect is also a handy way to shorten queues and waiting in store, and is another way of providing a contactless payment method; something everyone will appreciate during this pandemic, and is always welcomed for it's ease and speed.

Shopify dashboard settings - delivery and shipping

Shopify offers this as a native service to set up quickly and easily right from your Shopify dashboard. Just log in, click settings in the bottom right and navigate to the 'Shipping and Delivery' section. In here you can choose the settings that are right for you.

Keep in mind that you can never set a price for click and collect, in Shopify this is always a free service. You can choose from a number of options to tell a customer when it will be available to collect e.g. "Usually ready in 24 hours".

Shopify checkout click and collect

If you have multiple locations to sell from, these can also be set up for click and collect, allowing customers to choose their preferred location.

Once enabled, your customers will be able to see the collection address in the checkout, so they can decide if it's the right option for them.

If you need some help to set up your Shopify delivery methods or want to provide more advanced delivery options to your customers, then our experienced Shopify development agency and Shopify Plus development agency can help. For our Shopify experts to assist you, get in contact with us today.
